JANUARY 2013

-Carston finished reading the Doctrine and Covenants

-After surviving 11 years of marriage with a queen bed, John decided he couldn't take it anymore with a pregnant wife and all her pillows.  We bought a King bed.

-We were in the library at the same time as a group of mentally handicapped adults.  One of them started freaking out and yelling very loudly.  His "helper" was restraining him.  Kate finally turned to me and said in a panicked voice, "Wet's get out of here! That guy is fweaking me out!"

-Kate called me out on some changes that come with pregnancy.  "Mom, you need to promise you won't have any more madness.  Cause people don't like other people's madness.  And you need to get your stylin' on.  I get my stylin' on everyday."

-Avery lost a tooth at school.  She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy requesting an arrangement where she got to keep the tooth and the money.

-After filming for Kid History 10, John took out a deer driving home.  Apparently his car has really expensive headlights.

-We decided that Macy is a giggle girl.  That comes in handy when she is upset about not getting something she wants. 

-Avery has been working to finish reading the Book of Mormon before she turns eight.  She was super diligent and always read extra, so she finished way ahead of schedule.  Grandma helped her celebrate with a special grandma day that ended in a sleepover.  She felt like a very special girl.
-We celebrated a school holiday with treats at Costco.  They were delicious.
